12th Annual NolaFunk Series Shares 2025 Schedule: Voodoo Dead, Anders Osborne Birthday Bash, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic NOLA and More 

NolaFunk Series has outlined its 12th annual musical entertainment lineup, featuring the best and brightest local figureheads and a staggering list of accompanists, ranging from improvisational masterminds to up-and-comers on the jam scene. The impending concert series coincides with Jazz Fest, which will take place April 24 through May 4, 2025, at various Crescent City locations. 

Leading the forthcoming Nolafunk Series are a pair of 10th-anniversary Voodoo Dead concerts slated for Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Republic NOLA, featuring Steve Kimock, George Porter Jr., Jackie Greene, Al Schnier, and John Morgan Kimock. On Night one, the ensemble will welcome a special guest, 18-year-old guitar prodigy Grace Bowers, followed by night two guest, Bayou State stalwart Papa Mali.

Samantha Fish and Tab Benoit will also team up at Civic Theatre on Saturday, April 26. Special guests will be announced prior to the occasion. Days later, on May 1, the NOLA Funk Series schedule will resume with Dead Feat, an homage to the music of Little Feat and the Grateful Dead. The show will feature Anders Osborne, Jackie Greene, Chad Cromwell, and current Feat members Fred Tackett and Kenny Gradney. 

Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country has tacked on a third-annual NOLA experience at The Civic Theatre. Special guests will be added to the lineup ahead of the event. The night after Donato and company conclude their Funk Series entry, The Nth Power Presents: Earth Wind & Power will pull through Republic NOLA for a May 2 stand.

Regional mainstay Anders Osborne will perform the final concert during the multi-locational music experience on May 3. He will celebrate his birthday on stage with Greene, Dave Malone, Jennifer Hartswick, Hans Williams, and members of Dragon Smoke, Ivan Neville, Eric Lindell, Stanton Moore, and Rob Mercurio.
