2ŁØT Delivers Debut LP ‘Entropy,’ An Exploration of Loss, Resilience and Rebirth

Today, the five-piece genre-defying ensemble 2ŁØT unveiled its debut album, Entropy, a 10-track exploration of loss, resilience, and rebirth. The album is presented through the lens of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, a philosophical belief that everything tends toward chaos. By embracing the incalculable nature of life and injecting it into their musical approach, 2ŁØT uses their full-length release to travel the cosmos, taking the listener on a journey as they move freely after heightened consideration of who they are and what they stand for.

Entropy arrives after the band previewed the record through a series of singles, including “Call for Me,” their commentary on the perpetual power of love as a transcendent force, an unequivocal heartfelt extension of support that pushes listeners to find the light and spread the sentiment. Michael Kang guests on “Arrow of Time,” playing electric mandolin on a jam-driven message to be present at the moment. During The String Cheese Incident’s recent two-night stand at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y.,  2ŁØT delivered pre and post-show sets at the adjacent Garcia’s, threading another connection between the bands.

Entropy embodies everything we stand for as a band,” 2ŁØT shares via press release. “This album is the story of how and why the band was created. When we came together, each of us was dealing with personal challenges—family deaths divorce, and other struggles life throws our way. Entropy is both a reminder of life’s inevitable changes and our commitment to push back against chaos and loss. It’s about living fully and encouraging others to do the same. This album represents our journey of overcoming despair, coming back to life, and being reborn.”

Entropy also reflects the varied musical interests of members Rudy Love Jr. (vocals/keys), Omar Jawar (drums), Sage Judd (keys), Chase Koch (guitar), and Robert Trusko (bass), as they explore Electronic Jam Music (EJM), which encompasses funk, jazz, hip-hop, rock, soul, and electronica.

As an added layer of the band’s ethos, 2ŁØT is committed to using its platform for advocacy, harnessing its power to believe in addiction recovery, youth empowerment, and juvenile justice reform.
