Adrianne Lenker has announced an upcoming solo album, to be released on March 22, 2024. Bright Future is the Big Thief vocalist and songwriter’s sixth solo venture and her first album since 2020’s dual projects songs and instrumentals. Co-produced by Philip Weinrobe, with whom Lenker collaborated on songs, the project features contributions from Nick Hakim, Mat Davidson, and Josefin Runsteen.

Lenker’s album news comes with the preview single “Sadness As A Gift,” the second following “Ruined,” which she released in early December alongside a tender music video. These new tracks build on a momentous year for Big Thief, which received critical acclaim for its “Vampire Empire” single, as well as nominations in the 2023 Grammy Awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Alternative Music Performance.

To support the album’s release, Lenker has planned a series of 2024 North American concerts. Set to begin immediately following her month-long European road show, the newly announced tour includes 25 dates across the country with Nick Hakim, Twain, Steve Fisher and Suzanne Vallie.

Tickets for Lenker’s North American tour will go on sale at adriannelenker.com/tour on Friday, January 19, at 10 a.m. EST; artist and Spotify presales begin Thursday, January 18 at 10 a.m. EST. Bright Future is now available for pre-order here.
