Conscious Alliance Presents STS9’s David Phipps and Alana Rocklin in Boulder

Sound Tribe Sector 9’s David Phipps and Alana Rocklin will perform tonight, Jan. 25, at eTown Music Hall in Boulder, Colo. This show will be presented by Conscious Alliance, the charitable organization that STS9 has supported for over a decade with benefit concerts and festival food drives to combat various food insecurity crises.

Announced in mid-December, keyboardist Phipps and electric bassist Alana Rocklin’s performance tonight arrives during a drought of STS9 performances before their summer festival run. This gig is bound to diverge from the livetronica innovators’ customary high-production engagements, as the duo will take the stage at the extremely intimate eTown Music Hall, which offers a maximum capacity of 220. Proceeds from this evening’s ticket sales will go towards Conscious Alliance’s mission; with entry, attendees will receive access to an open bar and a piece of limited-edition memorabilia autographed by Phipps and Rocklin. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30 p.m.

On March 4-11, STS9 will go on to headline Envision Festival in Costa Rica. Next, the group will travel to Suwannee National Park in Live Oak, Fla., to host Resonate Suwannee on April 4-6, for which the group assisted with the selection of other headliners Tycho, Papadosio and Chromeo. Immediately after, the combination will perform at Texas Eclipse on April 5-9, followed by a headliner performance at Summer Camp’s new Solshine: A Music and Arts Reverie, taking place on May 24-26 in Chillicothe, Ill.
