Spafford have dropped a new pro-shot video from its sold-out stand on Friday, Jan. 26. 2024, at Moontown Brewing Company in Whitestown, Ind. The video shared via the band on their official YouTube page captures the group covering the Stone Temple Pilots’ “Plush.” For their take, the four-piece extended the Core cut, warping it past the 17-minute marker.

“Plush” represents Stone Temple Pilots’ second single off their 1992 debut studio album and first single to top the U.S. Billboard Album Rock Tracks Chart–it also earned the listing’s top status for 1993. For Spafford’s take on the ‘90s favorite, the ensemble ebbed into spacey pockets of improvisation and ultimately added a seamless transition into their follow-up, original “Dirtbath.”

With January dates on the books, the band will resume their touring schedule with a festival appearance at Gem & Jam in Tucson, Ariz., on Feb. 2 through 4. Afterward, they’ll take time away from the stage, ultimately resuming with a string of Colorado appearances at the end of February and into March.

Notably, Stone Temple Pilots made headlines last week after moe. covered “Interstate Love Song” during their West Coast show on Jan. 18 at the Observatory North Park in San Diego. The performance represented a first-time play (for moe.) and locational nod, given the play occurred in STP’s hometown.
