Apple Music Live Tees Up SZA Ahead of High-Profile Super Bowl Halftime Splash
Apple Music launches SZA’s SOS concert in Brooklyn on demand on Apple Music and Apple TV ahead of her performance at the 2024 Grammys and Apple’s high-profile Super Bowl Halftime show.
SZA’s SOS Tour is heading to streaming, with Apple Music Live offering her Brooklyn set on demand on both Apple Music and Apple TV. The concert drops on Wednesday, January 31, ahead of the artist’s highly anticipated Grammys performance on February 4, where she is nominated for nine awards.
“I love connecting with people in the crowd when I feel like it’s really me and you right now,” said SZA on Apple Music 1. “And I go eye to eye with so many people during this show, and it’s something about (a) tour, that it makes the love real and tangible.”
“SZA was one of the most streamed artists of 2023 with only her second full-length album — we are elated to finally bring her SOS Tour to Apple Music Live,” shared Ebro Darden, Apple Music’s Global Head of Hip Hop and R&B. “The show is, of course, incredible, just like her music, her songwriting, and her desire to give us, the fans, so much amazing content. Here’s to an even more successful 2024 for her. Thank you, SZA!”
Her Brooklyn set features hits “Snooze,” “Seek & Destroy,” and “Nobody Gets Me” from SOS, as well as “Drew Barrymore,” “Broken Clocks,” and “Love Galore,” from her major label debut, CTRL.
SOS debuted in December 2022, featuring Phoebe Bridgers, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard. SZA’s subsequent first arena tour sold out shows across the country. The album was the second-biggest album of 2023 on Apple Music globally, and the No. 1 R&B album of the year.
Meanwhile, her debut album, CTRL, remains on the Billboard 200 chart since its release, and holds the record for the longest chart run for any Black female artist’s first album.
SZA is set to perform at the 2024 Grammys on Sunday, February 4, with other performances including Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Luke Combs, Joni Mitchell, Billy Joel, U2, and more.
