Katie Melua Announces First Australian Tour In 19 Years
Georgian singer-songwriter Katie Melua has announced her Australian tour dates for late March and early April 2024, which will mark her first performances locally since 2005. In addition to her appearances across three days of this year’s Bluesfest, Melua and her band will also take to the stage at Sydney’s City Recital Hall and Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre.
In a press statement, Bluesfest director Peter Noble expressed his excitement over Melua’s return. “Australians have waited 19 long years to hear Katie Melua’s stunning voice live in concert, and we are pleased to announce that the wait is almost over,” he said.
“Katie is one of Britain and Europe’s highest-selling female recording artists of all time; you only need to listen to one of eight studio albums to understand why. She is incredibly talented. Prepared to be stunned.”

Melua last performed in Australia in support of her second studio album, 2005’s Piece By Piece. Since then, she has released a further seven albums. The most recent of these, Love & Money, was released in March of 2023.
A pre-sale for Melua’s headlining shows will commence from Tuesday, February 6th from 12pm AEDT. A general sale will follow on Thursday, February 8th – again from midday local time. Melua’s full tour itinerary, along with ticketing information, can be found below.
