Persefone Premiere New Music Video “The Equable”

Andorran progressive death metal band Persefone has released another track from their upcoming EP, “Lingua Ignota: Part I.” Ahead of the EP’s release on February 2nd, a video for the track “The Equable” is now available online.

Guitarist Carlos Lozano shared his thoughts on the release:

“Writing music for ‘Lingua Ignota Pt. I‘ has been a journey by itself. We ask ourselves all the time how to explore different ways to make our sound fresh, how to avoid old patterns and mannerisms, and often, this leads to endless layers of rhythmic and harmonic complexity added to the songs. By the time we had to approach ‘The Equable‘, we noticed that the bravery wasn’t about going crazy with our own skills, since we’ve already done that in the past… but it was about stripping the song of all that made us comfortable.

‘The Equable‘ is as honest and simple as we have been able to do it. By the time the song was ready, we were both in love and scared about it, and we think that this is the right way to feel in order to reach new places.

On April 25th, the band will be delivering a special orchestral set at the Auditori Nacional d’Andorra in Ordino, Andorra, and this performance will be recorded for a future release. Prior to that, Persefone has a European tour lined up with Hypno5e, Stellar Circuits, and Lampr3a:
