Usher confirms that Lil Jon and Ludacris will join him for his Super Bowl Halftime performance this Sunday.

Usher revealed to Entertainment Tonight on Thursday (February 8) that he would be “a fool” to not perform his 2004 hit “Yeah” with the song’s featured artists, Ludacris (pictured) and Lil Jon, for his upcoming Super Bowl Halftime show performance this Sunday, February 11 — thus confirming that the two artists will also take part.

“It would be foolish to make it all the way to Las Vegas — Jon is here, Luda’s here — and not play ‘Yeah,’” said Usher, whose upcoming halftime performance will showcase his 30-year career. “I gotta do it in 13 minutes — that makes it a bit difficult,” the star told Apple Music in a press conference interview, also on Thursday. “It’s definitely been a challenge to squeeze 30 years into 13 minutes.”

“I was very mindful of my past, celebrating my present — which is here in Las Vegas — and thinking about where we’re headed in the future,” Usher added, referring to his Las Vegas residency that wrapped up in December. “That was really the idea.”

The “OMG” singer, who will embark on a North American tour in August, also said he was excited for a wider audience to “get a chance to see some of what I did” during the Las Vegas residency, “like skating.”

“But you’re going to get the best of it because it’s before 60,000 people in this room — and hopefully 180,000 people [at the Super Bowl] — 80 million people, for the world to see,” concluded Usher.

Usher will perform at the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show on Sunday, February 11, when the Kansas City Chiefs play the San Francisco 49ers, beginning at 3:30 PM PT / 6:30 PM ET. You can listen to his full catalog in spatial audio ahead of the big game thanks to Apple Music.
