Alan McGee, the founder of Creation Records, expressed his excitement for the upcoming tour, describing it as the “best night out” he has had in years. He praised the band for their flawless rendition of The Jam’s hits, saying, “All The Jam hits and more done to perfection, what’s not to love!?”
From The Jam consists of Bruce Foxton, the legendary bass player from the original line-up of The Jam. Russell Hastings, on vocals, which fills Paul Weller’s role with his deep understanding of the band’s history. Russell Hastings’ performance has been commended for capturing the essence of The Jam’s sound while adding his unique interpretation.
As one fan said in a statement, “Russell Hastings is a good choice for vocals. Slightly Weller, but not tribute band Weller. He respected the songs. But he wasn’t copying the songs, he was playing them.” Having performed over 1,000 live shows, The band have earned a reputation for delivering electrifying performances that recapture the energy and legacy of the band.
