Delta Goodrem Announces Sydney Opera House ‘Mistaken Identity’ Show

Delta Goodrem has announced her return to the Sydney Opera House for one night only on Monday, April 14th 2025. At this show, she will celebrate the 20th anniversary of her second studio album Mistaken Identity, where she and her band will play the album in its entirety. In a statement posted to her social media pages, Goodrem described Mistaken Identity as her “theatrical, dramatic second baby”. “The trials and tribulations of that chapter [were] captured in those melodies and lyrics,” she said. “It was a labour of true love of music, creativity and determination. Where all elements meet, with pianos on fire, key changes and dancing. Mistaken Identity was a challenge and a triumph.. a mark left on me that I honour and treasure, and am reminded of to this day.”

Goodrem last performed in the Opera House’s Concert Hall last year as part of her national tour commemorating her previous 20th anniversary, for her debut album Innocent Eyes. Originally booked for a single night at the iconic venue, she ended up adding two further shows to meet demand. Since that tour, Goodrem’s performances locally have been minimal – although she did open for Tom Jones for his A Day on the Green show at Centennial Vineyards in Bowral in April.

Goodrem’s fan club will have first access to tickets for the Mistaken Identity show, from 9am local time on Tuesday, November 26th. The club can be registered for by visiting Goodrem’s website. Opera House Insiders will then follow on Wednesday, November 27th – again at 9am local time – before a public pre-sale follows at 11am local time the same day. Lastly, general sale will commence on Thursday, November 28th at 9am local time – via the official Sydney Opera House website.
