Foreword Premiere New Single & Music Video “Sandman” – Sign With Seek And Strike

Texan deathcore outfit Foreword premiered the music video for their latest single, “Sandman,” streaming via YouTube and Spotify for you now below. The band has signed with Seek And Strike and is set to release their upcoming album through the label on January 31st, with more details to come.

The band shared their thoughts on the new single:

“We’re beyond excited to be joining the Seek & Strike family. As a band, we’ve always been focused on pushing ourselves to new heights, and we’ve reached a point where we feel Seek & Strike are the perfect partner to help us get to the next stage in our career. We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity and humbled by the recognition that comes with being a part of such a forward-thinking, powerhouse label. We can’t wait to see what’s next.

Our new single, ‘Sandman,’ is a very personal song for our vocalist, Andy Alderson, and it was written during a time when he was going through an incredibly low point in his life. During this period sleep was the only escape and the lyrics reflect that sense of wanting to find peace, even if it was to never wake up again. Through the effort of each member, we were able to turn this rough patch into something creative and get our bandmate back.

The song was actually the last one we wrote for the upcoming album and it really represents everything we wanted to put into our music. It’s a song that speaks to the darkest corners of the mind, but also to the longing for something better.

The video for ‘Sandman‘ is meant to complement the song’s themes of loss and the passage of time. We wanted to visually represent how something grand, something important, can slowly fade away as time takes its toll—like sand and dirt overtaking everything in its path.

Ultimately, this song is about raw honesty, and we’re grateful to have the opportunity to share it with our fans. It wasn’t written with the intention of being a statement, but rather as a way to cope, to create something real from a difficult time. If people connect with it, we’re truly thankful.”
