Glixen announce second EP quiet pleasures

Glixen are coming off a busy year of touring and sharing a drip of singles (“foreversoon,” “lust,” “sick silent”), and next promises to be just as big. The Phoenix shoegaze outfit recently announced their new EP, quiet pleasures, which arrives Feb. 21 via AWAL/Wichita Recordings.

The project is produced by Sonny DiPerri (My Bloody Valentine, DIIV) and will include their latest single, “lick the star,” which the band have been working into in their setlists while opening for Tanukichan and playing their hometown festival VIVA PHX. “This song is special. It begins with a mellow sonic bath of an intro and explodes into a whirling wall of sound and melody,” bandleader Aislinn Ritchie says. On the same day as the EP’s release, Glixen will kick off their first U.S. headline tour with she’s green and Suzy Clue in Las Vegas, concluding with a performance at both weekends of Coachella.
