Dream Theater, the multi-platinum progressive rock icons, have unveiled the second single from their upcoming sixteenth studio album, Parasomnia. The track, titled “A Broken Man”, comes with a visualizer crafted by Wayne Joyner and can be viewed below. The album is set to release on February 7th, marking their first with drummer Mike Portnoy since 2009.

Describing the song, a press release explains, “A Broken Man” narrates the struggles of a war veteran grappling with sleep disorders like nightmares and insomnia stemming from combat trauma. The track features audio clips of actual veterans recounting their harrowing wartime experiences, adding an authentic and poignant dimension.
