TWICE have returned with their 14th mini-album ‘Strategy’, which comes issued with a stunning music video for its title track.

The K-pop girl group released both the record and accompanying visual on December 6 at 2pm KST. ‘Strategy’ is led by a title track of the same name featuring American rapper Megan Thee Stallion, on top of six additional B-sides.

The music video for ‘Strategy’ begins with Tzuyu in a completely white room, walking toward a table with just a book tinted in pink, green and grey hues, with the word ‘Strategy’ on its cover. The pages open to what appears to be a magazine spread, with a shot of TWICE in formation.

The highly anticipated track notably features a verse by Megan Thee Stallion  – real name Megan Pete – who also stars alongside TWICE in the music video and was credited as a co-writer on the song.

“Do you like that / When I smack it and you watch it bounce it right back / He really lost it when he saw me do the right left / Imma man eater you just a light snack,” she raps. Watch it below.

Aside from its lead single, the ‘Strategy’ mini-album also includes B-sides ‘Kiss My Troubles Away’, ‘Like It Like It’, ‘Sweetest Obsession’, ‘Magical’ and a TWICE-only version of ‘Strategy’. Notably, ”Sweetest Obsession’ credits member Dahyun as its sole lyricist.

The album’s release marks TWICE’s second release of 2024, following their February mini-album ‘With You-th’ and its lead single ‘One Spark’. Since then, vocalist Nayeon and Japanese subunit MISAMO have released new music, while youngest member Tzuyu made her solo debut with the mini-album ‘abouTZU’.

Pete’s feature on ‘Strategy’ also makes the song TWICE’s second collaboration with the rapper so far. The K-pop act were previously featured on a remix of the rapper’s hit song ‘Mamushi’ in October, which she released as part of her deluxe album ‘MEGAN: Act II’.

In NME‘s review of ‘MEGAN: Act II’, Kyann-Sian Williams wrote about ‘Mamushi’: “The Hot Girl coach drops a new verse on the madeover track, with her whipping out her dexterous flow before the South Korean pop juggernauts each take turns to show why they’re just as fierce and feisty as her.”
