Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Plot 2025 Appearances, Plus New Marco Benevento Solo Dates

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead is looking ahead to 2025 and adding new tour dates to its live schedule. The band, known for interpreting beloved originals and associated covers from the Grateful Dead ether, has tacked on three consecutive concerts, slated to begin on Thursday, May 22, at The Dome in Virginia Beach, Va. 

The group will proceed with a gig on Friday, May 23, at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, N.J., before the final show of the three-part concert series on May 24, at Westville Music Bowl in New Haven, Conn. Notably, beyond the newly added dates, JRAD’s June 20 appearance at Mountain Jam Festival serves as the furthest dates out for the group, who will build up to the set in the months to come. 

Before the band’s spring/summer concerts, they will commence the New Year with a three-night sold-out run at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y., Jan. 17-19, 2025. On the other side of their Empire State dates, the group will offer another three-part regional concert series, this time in the Peach State, Feb. 13-15. 

San March and April dates, the band will return to the live stage in full force on May 1 for a one-off Austin, Texas concert as a part of ACL Live at Moody Theatre. The following night, JRAD will kick off night one of two, May 2-3, at The Fillmore New Orleans. Notably, their Big Easy dates will land during the 2025 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival edition.

JRAD member Marco Benevento announced his tour, filling the gaps between JRAD dates in February with his own offering of original music. The keyboardist run will commence on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2025, at The Press Room in Portsmouth, N.H. He will follow up the next night at The Drake in Amherst, Mass., before an evening at New York’s Nebula, where he will play two shows at 10 p.m. and midnight with special guests.
