French metalcore outfit Landmvrks have announced their fourth studio album, “The Darkest Place I’ve Ever Been,” set for release on April 25th via Arising Empire. As a preview, the band has unveiled two new tracks, “Sulfur” and “Sombre 16”, accompanied by a new music video that intertwines both songs.
Directed by Pavel Trebukhin (Bleed From Within, Imminence), the video showcases the dark and emotive themes the band is exploring in their forthcoming conceptual record.
Speaking about the new material, the band offered insight into how these songs fit into the overarching narrative of the album:
“‘Sulfur‘ + ‘Sombre 16‘ are two new tracks that continue the story from ‘Creature,’ while also introducing the universe of the new album The Darkest Place That I’ve Ever Been. In these tracks, and this new album we follow a protagonist as he descends deeper and deeper into hell, undergoing both physical and mental transformation.”
