Sam Grisman Project have announced a tight run of Northeastern tour dates, which will take them to Pennsylvania and two New York state locations in March. According to the band, known for its interpretation of Sam’s dad, David Grisman, and Jerry Garcia’s intertwined and independent songbooks, as well as classic material from the bluegrass ether, originals and more, they will start the run with a debut at the Ardmore Music Hall on March 5.

After stopping outside Philadelphia, the group will travel upstate to perform at the newly reopened and historic Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, N.Y. Next, the ensemble will take their talents to Rochester, N.Y., where they are slated to participate in a co-bill with the Dirty Blanket Band, the Finger Lakes bluegrass troupe featuring Sam Grisman Project frequent collaborator and guitarist Max Flansburg.

The March tour dates will arrive after Sam participates in a duo tour with Leftover Salmon’s Vince Herman. This four-stop Northeastern jaunt includes stops at New York’s Sony Music Hall (Jan. 22), Troy Savings Bank Music Hall (Jan. 23), City Winery Boston (Jan. 24), and a Waldo Theatre closeout (Jan. 25).

Sam Grisman Project will return to form for an extensive series of West Coast tour dates in February, including a night at San Francisco’s Warfield featuring Melvin Seals and JGB. Visit the band’s official website for a complete list of upcoming concerts.
