New York musicians Des Rocs, Eamon Rush and Brian Duke of Pan Arcadia and Connor Abeles of Cab Ellis are the latest guests on the SPIN Presents Lipps Service podcast, during which they discuss their careers with host Scott Lipps.

Long Island native Des Rocs recalls the odd jobs he’s had to support his music career and talks about performances alongside the Cult and The Rolling Stones, the influence of Queen’s Live at Wembley album and the making of his latest album, Dream Machine. Then, Pan Arcadia’s frontman Eamon Rush and drummer Brian Duke detail growing up on Lou Reed and the Strokes, the camaraderie of the local current scene and the benefits of taking shots of ginger.

Lastly, Lipps talks with Ellis about his musical beginnings in L.A. and Boston, working with producer Gordon Raphael, honing his live performance style and appearing on NPR‘s “Tiny Desk” concert series.

On the first installment of this New York-centric series, music manager Ryan Gentles and artists Bec Lauder and the Thing discussed their own unique experiences in the scene, how they began their careers and their favorite Manhattan spots.

Since it began in 2018, the acclaimed podcast has featured many of the biggest voices and personalities in music, including exclusive interviews with Anthony Kiedis, David Lee Roth, Hozier, Maynard James Keenan, Dove Cameron, Mick Fleetwood, Nikki Sixx, Perry Farrell, the Kills and many more. Every few weeks, a new episode of SPIN Presents Lipps Service is available wherever you listen to podcasts.
