Live Nation Announces FireAid Benefit Concert at Intuit Dome to Help Los Angeles Wildfire Victims

The Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., announced its intention to host a FIREAID benefit concert on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025. Dubbed “an evening of music and solidarity,” the event will use gained funds to focus on rebuilding communities affected by the Los Angeles wildfires, which began on Tuesday, Jan. 7, and affected the metropolitan area and surrounding communities.

An artist lineup has not been unveiled yet but is expected to be revealed in the coming days before the official occasion. In a press release, event producers Live Nation and AEG Presents stated their intent for the fundraiser: “[We are] dedicated to rebuilding communities devastated by wildfires and supporting efforts to prevent future fire disasters throughout Southern California” via press release.

The news of the forthcoming occasion follows Friday’s announcement that The Recording Academy and nonprofit MusiCares pledged “$1 million to support music professionals impacted by the wildfires with the launch of the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort.”

Laura Segura, Executive Director of MusiCares, stated, “We expect the disaster relief efforts in Los Angeles to be extraordinary, if even just on the basis of how many music people have lost their homes in the last day. MusiCares is always committed to ensuring that music professionals are supported in times of crisis, and we ask for the larger community to donate for those in need at this dire time. MusiCares can help with short term emergent needs for those currently displaced, and then longer-term services as we get a handle on the full extent of how music people are impacted.”

Backline is also supporting relief and recovery efforts. They encourage those affected to connect with the organization through its case submission form, “and a case manager will contact you to help you get the long-term support you need.” On social media, the non-profit added, “Our hearts are with the Los Angeles community and all those affected by the devastating wildfires.”

This story is still developing. Relix will share the artist lineup once it becomes available.
