Watch: Lucy Dacus Previews New Record ‘Forever Is A Feeling’ with “Ankles” Music Video, Plots North American Tour

Boygenius fans rejoice: Lucy Dacus has announced her fourth record, Forever Is A Feeling, set to release March 28 via Geffen Records. The album’s two lead singles, “Ankles” and “Limerence,” are out now, following Dacus’s premiere of the former track on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night. Dacus will celebrate her next chapter with an extensive North American tour this spring, following a brief series of previously-announced shows in February.

“You can’t actually capture forever,” Dacus says. “But I think we feel forever in moments. I don’t know how much time I’ve spent in forever, but I know I’ve visited.”

In February, the singer-songwriter is set to visit a number of less liminal places than forever, as she embarks on a four-stop tour of the nation’s most historic museums and churches for “An Evening With Lucy Dacus,” with stagings at Brooklyn, N.Y.’s St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church on Feb. 18, followed by The Murphy Auditorium at the Driehaus Museum in Chicago on Feb. 20. Later that week, Dacus will head to California to round out the intimate series, with shows at San Francisco’s Legion of Honor on Feb. 22, as well as a secret location in LA on Feb. 24. 

Then, in April, Dacus will kick off the Forever Is A Feeling Tour, which begins at Philadelphia’s The Met on April 16. After heading to Washington’s The Anthem and Boston’s MGM Music Hall, Dacus is set to perform at New York’s iconic Radio City Music Hall on April 23. After shows in Toronto and at Nashville, Tenn.’s historic Ryman Auditorium on April 25 and 29, Dacus is set to return to Chicago for a performance at the Chicago Theatre on May 1. St. Paul, Minn. and Michigan are next, followed by two stops in Texas and an evening at Morrison, Colo.’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Dacus will bring the tour to a close on May 14 at LA’s Greek Theatre. MUNA vocalist and indie-folk artist Katie Gavin will join Dacus on tour, along with jasmine.4.t.
