Nintendo Switch Marked Down at Walmart Ahead of Switch 2 Arrival: Shop Limited-Time Deals

Ready, set, shop! With the announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2 later in 2025, we already seeing discounted on the current Nintendo Switch. Retailers like Walmart are looking to clear inventory for the new console.

We seeing the Nintendo Switch marked down to up to $70 off list prices on all sorts of editions, including the Nintendo Switch OLED, the Nintendo Switch Lite and others.

And since these Nintendo Switch models are from Walmart, you’ll get it shipped to you for free if you’re a Walmart+ member. Otherwise, your cart has to be more than $35 to get free shipping.

If you’re not a member, then you’re in luck: You can sign up for a 30-day free trial to take advantage of everything the retailer’s rewards program has to offer with perks such as free, fast delivery; fuel discounts’ streaming access to Paramount+ to watch hit originals; additional savings with early access deals and much more.

The Nintendo Switch OLED, which is on sale for $279, or $70 off, at Walmart, is the premium version of the gaming console. It features a 7-inch OLED touchscreen display for crisp and sharp images for an even more immersive experience when playing on the go.

On sale for $164 (reg. $199) at Walmart, the Nintendo Switch Lite (in yellow) is a more portable version of the console. It’s meant to be taken with you, so it’s lighter, the controllers cannot be removed and it’s smaller with a 5.5-inch display.

Finally, the limited-edition Nintendo Switch Lite: Hyrule Edition comes in gold with a Hyrule design from The Legend of Zelda. It’s on sale for $190, or $19 off, at Walmart.

All of the Nintendo Switch models listed above are the Japanese versions, but they’re region unlocked, so you can play American games with them.

Although a release date has yet to be announced, the new Nintendo Switch 2 is expected sometime later in 2025. It’s expected to be larger than the original console with magnetic Joy-Cons and designed with more online play available. It’s also likely that the gaming company may add the Nintendo Music app to the console itself, so you can listen to your favorite scores for your favorite games on the console itself. However, we’ll know more about the Nintendo Switch 2 when we get our hands on it.
