Papadosio Announce Indefinite Touring Hiatus After 2025

Yesterday, Jan. 21, Papadosio made waves with the announcement that the appearances on their 2025 tour will be their last for the foreseeable future. After 19 years of tireless touring that has earned them a reputation as true road warriors, the jamtronica quintet will take an indefinite hiatus from the circuit and use their found time to focus on working in the studio.

“For the past 2 decades, Papadosio has played thousands of shows far and wide,” the band shared in a statement to fans on its social channels and website. “We are deeply grateful for the experiences that we have had and for the amazing people who we have met along the way. We want to emphasize that we are not breaking up as a band. We will continue to write and record music, as well as explore other musical avenues that our constant touring may have previously hindered. That said, 2025 will be our last year of shows for an indefinite amount of time.

“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for your love and support, your consistent words of encouragement, your cheers, and your ears,” the quintet expressed in closing. “We have never felt like we have deserved any of it, however you continued to show up night after night and we couldn’t have asked for better friends, fans, or family. Stay tuned for more details as to what is sure to be a VERY proper send off, and we can’t wait to see you all at our remaining shows.”

Before withdrawing from the spotlight, the band will embark on a 20-stop East Coast and Midwest tour. That run will begin this weekend with a pair of shows at Covington, Ky.’s Madison Theatre on Jan. 24 and 25. From there, the jamtronica pioneers will make stops in Pittsburgh, Roanoke, Va., Richmond, Va., Towson, Md., Savannah, Ga., Charlotte, N.C., Atlanta, Grand Rapids, Mich., Chicago, Madison, Wis., Charleston, S.C., Raleigh, N.C. and Wilmington, N.C. The group will conclude their final tour in the cards with Kicksville, their own festival set to stage at Avenue, Md.’s Riverview Farm on May 9 and 10.
