Ice Cube To Play Sydney And Melbourne In March 2025

Ice Cube has announced his return to Australia, with a whirlwind 72-hour visit set for March 2025. In that window, he will perform two shows: One at the ICC Sydney Theatre on Friday, March 7th and another at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Sunday, March 9th. It marks the veteran American rapper and actor’s first shows locally in almost two years, having last visited on a co-headlining arena tour with Cypress Hill in 2023 that was opened by Australia’s own A.B. Original.

Since he was last in Australia, Ice Cube has released his 11th studio album, Man Down. The album was released in November 2024, and featured collaborations with the likes of Busta Rhymes, Killer Mike, Cypress Hill’s B-Real and Xzibit. He also starred in the 2023 animated film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, providing the voice of the villainous character Superfly.

Ice Cube – ‘Why We Thugs’

Ice Cube first toured Australia as a solo artist in 1994, touring in support of his fourth solo album Lethal Injection. He would not return to tour here for a further 13 years. Since his 2007 tour, however, Ice Cube has been a consistent presence on the Australian touring circuit – in fact, Setlist.FM notes that it is the country he has performed the most shows in outside of the United States and Canada.

A pre-sale for the two Australian shows will take place at 11am AEDT on Tuesday, January 28th. A general sale will then follow on Friday, January 31st – again at 11am AEDT. Both can be accessed by the shows’ official promoter, Live Nation Australia.
