Everything You Need to Know About the Music at LA3C Festival 2023
Erykah Badu & Herbie Hancock are headlining the music & food fest this weekend, taking place Nov. 10-12 across downtown Los Angeles.

Penske Media Corporation’s music, art and food festival LA3C is returning for a second year, taking over Los Angeles to celebrate the city’s unique culture and communities.
LA3C launched last December as a two-day festival at LA State Historic Park with performances from Maluma, Lil Baby, Snoop Dogg and Seventeen. This year, DTLA’s Historic Core will be flooded with music, as Erykah Badu and Herbie Hancock will headline by playing intimate shows at the Orpheum Theatre and Theatre at the Ace Hotel, respectively. Flying Lotus and LA jazz legends Robert Glasper and Terrace Martin will take over the Theatre at the Ace Hotel as well, and Nick Hakim, Julie Byrne and John Carroll Kirby will take over the Palace Theatre.
In addition to the star-studded performances, the three-day event will feature an array of food from chefs across Los Angeles, as well as a market to highlight the top business and creatives in the black community.

LA3C 2023: Date, Time & Location
LA3C will take place Nov. 10 to 12 in Downtown Los Angeles’ Historic Core, with activations at four of the city’s most iconic venues — Theatre at the Ace Hotel, Los Angeles Theatre, Orpheum Theatre and Palace Theatre — alongside several surrounding lots.

What Other Experiences Will Be at LA3C?
LA3C collaborated with Biite Club to create Marketplace on Main, an outdoor dining plaza featuring chefs from across Los Angeles. The selection of veteran and emerging vendors includes original collaborations (Estrano X Pearl River Deli), accolade-distinguished operations (Bridgetown Roti, Thunderbolt, Speak Cheezy), pitmasters and live fire cooking (A’s BBQ, Campo é Carbon), Michelin Bib Gourmands (Simon Seafood, Quarters Korean BBQ, Bee Taqueria), concept debuts by proven operators (Leonardo’s Pasta Bar, Happy Friday Coffee) and much more.
The Marketplace will also offer a curated bar program, DJ performances by Questlove and Novena Carmel, a live performance by Kamasi Washington and a weekend closing party with the Do-Over.
Additionally, the festival will feature its first-ever Bazaar on Broadway featuring Black Market Flea, prioritizing black businesses, creators and community.
LA3C’s film programming will be presented by Women Under the Influence (WUTI). WUTI celebrates cinema driven by women through bespoke events and media.
