C’mon on, Barbie, let’s go shopping! It’s hard to believe that after six decades, fans are still in love with Barbie. And with the holidays right around the corner and the Barbie movie premiering on HBO Max on Dec. 15, it’s time to think pink and channel your inner Barbie (or Ken).

The blockbuster film, starring Margo Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken, was released in theaters on July 21. Since then, Barbie has raked in over $1.44 billion to become the highest grossing film of 2023, the highest-grossing film by a female director (Gretta Gerwig) and the biggest opening weekend of the year.

The movie has broken several other box office records and earned 11 Grammy nominations. Will the Oscars be next? Nominations for the 96th annual Academy Awards will be announced on Jan. 23, 2024. Barbie is predicted to dominate the Oscars, which will be held on March 10, 2024.
