Massano releases two long-awaited IDs with Afterlife EP, ‘Shut Down’

The wait for “Shut Down” and “Cybernova” has finally come to an end. Arriving via Dancing Astronaut‘s 2022 Label of the Year, Massano‘s Shut Down EP on Afterlife has garnered praise as some of the most unique, energy-filled songs in the world of melodic techno. Bordering along the genre lines of dark progressive house, “Shut Down” has made the waves across social media beginning in early 2023. A highlight in many Tale of Us sets, “Shut Down” has graced the stages at Coachella, Tomorrowland, and Afterlife shows worldwide.

The EP’s allure doesn’t end there. “Cybernova”—the B-side to “Shut Down”—reveals Massano’s adeptness in melding softer melodies with his signature assertive basslines. It’s a testament to his artistic range, showcasing his ability to fashion compositions that are both uplifting and energetically charged. With now 11 releases under his belt over the last six months, it is safe to say that Massano is gaining the recognition he deserves.
