Joe Russo to Host “This is Gonna Be a Blast Vol. 3” with Mike Gordon, Robert Walter and Nick Bockrath

Today, Joe Russo announced the third edition of his “This is Gonna Be a Blast” series is set to return to the Sultan Room in New York on Jan. 23. The event has proven to be an intimate and eclectic gathering of masterful improvisation and musicianship.

Russo, a maestro in the world of music curation, has brought together excellent ensembles for This is Gonna Be a Blast so far, tapping Andrew Barr, Brad Barr, Marco Benevento, Stuart Bogie, Josh Kaufman and Ben Perowsky.

For the upcoming show, Russo will be joined by Mike Gordon, the acclaimed bassist renowned for his work with Phish, keyboardist Robert Walter, whose soulful and innovative playing has earned him acclaim across genres and Nick Bockrath, the dynamic guitarist from Cage the Elephant.

This Is Gonna Be a Blast Vol 3 is set up to transcend the boundaries of a traditional show, offering a fusion of funk, soul, rock, and improvisation connected with a collaborative spirit that promises a night of musical alchemy.
