At long last, Alison Krauss & Union Station are hitting the road again. In 2025, the 27-time Grammy-winning bluegrass icon and her all-star backing band will embark on the Arcadia Tour, their first since 2015, plotting 73 dates across North America from April to September. The master quintet’s first ride in a decade precedes the release of new music next year, continuing the ensemble’s legacy of innovative approaches to traditional music with its first offering since 2011’s massively acclaimed Paper Airplane

“I’m so grateful to get to make music again with my comrades of 40 years,” Krauss offered in a release. “They’ve always accomplished incredible work individually and have been constantly traveling because of it. We’re very inspired to experience this new exciting chapter in the band’s history.”

For their long-awaited return to the stage, Krauss & Union Station will be joined by guitarist and singer Russell Moore, acclaimed for his group IIIrd Tyme Out and honored the most awarded male vocalist in the history of the International Bluegrass Music Association. Moore will assume the seat held by Dan Tyminski since 1992 while the latter remains occupied with a thriving solo career. The new guitarist features alongside the vaunted cast of Ron Block (banjo, guitar, vocals), Barry Bales (bass, vocals) and Jerry Douglas (Dobro, lap steel, vocals), who earned his place in the IBMA’s Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame in September.

“To say I’m excited about recording and touring with Alison Krauss & Union Station would be a huge understatement,” Moore shared. “After 40 years of playing music full-time and leading my own group for 34 years, this opportunity is among the few things at the top of the list that my music career has offered me. My hopes and desires are to fill this spot in AKUS with the same professionalism, precision, and thoughtfulness as other members who have held this position before me, and I’m looking forward to the ‘ride’!”

Krauss, Block, Bales, Douglas and Moore will set out on the massive 2025 tour with a double-header in Louisville, Ky. on April 17 and 18. After a follow-up in Columbus, Ohio on April 19, the band will tear into its first Southeast leg, making 10 stops in Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee through May 6. The quintet will run up and down the central states next, stopping five times in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri from May 12-17 before three nights in Texas from May 29-31.

Krauss & Union Station will begin the summer with a Midwest sprint, staging 11 shows in the region from June 3-16. The band will cross through the mountains for a June 18 performance at Morrison, Colo.’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, then make one more Centennial State date before a two nights in the Southwest on June 21 and July 11. The group’s West Coast run will follow, commencing with a staging in San Diego on July 12 and continuing for six further set before stopping in Washington on July 22. Following a series in the Mountain States, Midwest and Canada from July 29 to Aug 1, the tour will bear South again for a show in Music City on Aug. 22.

From Aug. 23 to Sept. 23, Krauss and her band will hike up the East in the final full leg of the tour, making 17 stops in Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Vermont. Finally, the ensemble will return to the South with a Sept. 24 performance in Charleston, S.C., then conclude the run with three nights in Florida from Sept. 26-28. All but four of the shows in Krauss &Union Station’s revival tour will feature a special guest set from Willie Watson.
