Apple Fitness+ Adds Dedicated Workouts From Janet Jackson, Coldplay, Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar
Apple Fitness+ adds new dedicated workouts from Janet Jackson, Coldplay, Bruno Mars, and Kendrick Lamar, along with Strava integration.
What better time for fitness-related updates than January? Apple thinks so, dropping an announcement full of new features and promotions for its Apple Fitness+ service this week. Apple Fitness+ is bringing users lots of ways to stay active this year, including new Artist Spotlight workouts, an introduction to breath meditation, and a collaboration with Strava.
The service is introducing a progressive strength training program designed to “take the guesswork out of putting together the perfect routine,” as well as a conditioning program for pickleball. A new workshop-style yoga program helps users improve their skills with popular poses, while a breath meditation program supports stress management, boosting energy, and enhancing focus.
The Artist Spotlight series — which has in the past featured superstars like Rihanna — brings new workout episodes from Janet Jackson (January 13), Coldplay (January 20), Bruno Mars (January 27), and Kendrick Lamar (February 3). New Time to Walk episodes feature music stars like Steve Aoki, Daddy Yankee, and dancer Maddie Ziegler, as well as comedian Tiffany Haddish and actor Adam Scott. The new season of Time to Walk kicks off on January 13, when Janet Jackson’s Artist Spotlight also premieres.
Fitness+ is also collaborating with fitness app Strava, bringing new integration to the app and a special offer for Strava subscribers. When members share a Fitness+ workout to Strava, Strava will now display a rich array of details and metrics for users to track and share with their community.
Apple Fitness+ is available as a subscription service for $9.99 per month, or $79.99 per year, and can be shared with up to five other family members. Strava subscribers can redeem two months in addition to the free one-month trial offered to new Fitness+ users, for a total of three months. This offer is available in the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK.
