“Usher is one of the greatest performers alive, and his music has touched so many of us around the world,” Apple Music VP Oliver Schusser said. “We couldn’t be more excited to have him on board for the second Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show and offer fans so many fun ways to celebrate this iconic moment in his career.”

“Music has always been the best way to set a mood, explain an emotion, or define different moments in time,” Usher said about the news. On February 8 10 am PT, Apple Music Radio’s Nadeska Alexis will interview Usher. Meanwhile, fans can listen to an exclusive collection of songs curated by the artist himself on a playlist dubbed, ‘My Road to Halftime.’ The playlist features songs from past halftime performers and collaborators.

Producer Jermaine Dupri will also produce a special Usher MegaMix, including the songs biggest songs available in spatial audio on Apple Music. Apple is also highlighting local Las Vegas DJs Tiësto, Gryffin, BLOND:ISH, and A Hundred Drums to handle pregame excitement on February 10.

Heading into the big game, fans can check out The Story of Usher in 20 songs, a new editorial feature that will be available on Apple Music. It provides an in-depth look at Usher’s 30+ year career from his start as an R&B prodigy in the ‘90s to cultural superstar in the early ‘00s.

Usher’s new album COMING HOME is also dropping ahead of the Super Bowl on February 9 and will be available in spatial audio on Apple Music. For those who use Shazam on Usher’s music, they’ll be treated to a bonus page with custom content like Apple Watch faces and wallpapers for their phone.
