Attila Premiere New Single “Wasteland” – Joe Cotela Of DED Guests

Attila’s latest track, “Wasteland,” premiered today, November 21st, featuring a collaboration with Joe Cotela, vocalist of modern nü-metal band DED. However, the song’s release comes amidst controversy surrounding Attila’s recently announced 2024 tour, which includes the contentious addition of Dealer to the lineup.

Dealer’s involvement has sparked backlash due to allegations against their vocalist, Aidan Ellaz Holmes, involving claims of sexual assault and mental abuse. Though legal action regarding one such allegation was reportedly dropped due to insufficient evidence, the band’s inclusion has reignited debates within the scene.

The fallout has extended beyond Dealer, with fellow artists publicly criticizing the tour. Oceano, initially booked as direct support, has since dropped off the bill, seemingly disbanding in the process. Oceano vocalist Adam Warren revealed he was unaware of the allegations’ severity until after the tour announcement. Expressing frustration with the metal scene, Warren stated, “The band ending thing is my call in protest to the scene being riddled with fucking creeps.”

Despite Oceano’s departure, the tour is still set to proceed with Attila, Dealer, and Nathan James. The scheduled dates are as follows:
