Billy String and Chris Thile to Appear on ‘CBS Saturday Morning’

Billy Strings and Chris Thile will come together this weekend for a special appearance on CBS Saturday Morning’s Saturday Sessions series. The joint televised stint will air on Feb. 3, following the pair’s concert with the New York Philharmonic at the Lincoln Center in New York City on Thursday, Feb. 1.

Strings and Thile’s Saturday Sessions appearance follows a similar presentation to other musical deliveries on the early morning news and entertainment program. Like previous players, the duo will run through agreed-upon material for a staged performance in the television studio, following in the footsteps of past participants.

Prior to Strings and Thile’s Saturday Sessions gig, they will participate in the previously mentioned 65th Steet Sessions tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 1. Previous performances have featured Thile performing with Louis Cato, Meshell Ndegeocello, Sarah Jarosz, Cory Wong, Madison Cunningham and others.
