Billy Strings Cancels New Year’s Shows Due to COVID Exposure

Billy Strings is the latest act to cancel his upcoming New Year’s run due to COVID. The Grammy-winning musician explains:

“Well folks. This sucks ass to have to do this again, but we have to cancel our NYE celebration in Grand Rapids. We have some key players on our team that have COVID and we simply can’t put on the show that you expect and the show you deserve without them. We have been gnawing on this one, trying to find a solution to bring the music to you but it just seems like everything is working against us this time. Sometimes you just have to take the lumps and move on. The health and safety of our loved ones (including everyone of you) is paramount. That’s why I have to sit this one out. I feel really shitty about it and hope to make it up to you somehow. – Billy All tickets for the shows and any Nugs streaming tickets will be refunded at point of purchase (credit/debit card purchases will be automatically refunded – no action is required). We were really excited to offer you 5 total posters for this run. Please keep an eye out in the coming days for another round of poster drops. Once again we will be donating proceeds to local charities.”

The Michigan native was slated to perform at Grand Rapids, MI’s GLC Live at 20 Monroe December 30-31 as well as January 1. He also recently was forced to cancel his String the Halls holiday concerts.
