Billy Strings to Share Full Show Recordings on YouTube All Week

Billy Strings, noted road warrior, has taken a well-earned spell away from the stage since his bar-raising “O Billy, Where Art Thou?” Halloween series at Baltimore’s CFG Bank Arena. With Highway Prayers–his recently released, massively acclaimed sixth studio album–continuing to make waves and break records, plus months of nonstop touring in his wake, fans would think that the bluegrass titan (and new father) would be willing to make the most of his opportunity to step back for the holiday break. But, as always, Strings has exceeded expectations again with the unveiling of a new series of full-show streams.
To tide his ever-mounting fan community over until he returns to the stage, Strings has announced “Andy’s Apples,” a run of videos to be released daily on his official YouTube channel. The week-long project is curated by the artist’s trusty sound engineer Andy Lytle, who has selected some of his favorite shows from behind the boards to preserve online; the series commenced today with a batch of eight videos, capturing Strings’ complete performances in St. Augustine, Fla., Asheville, N.C., State College, Pa. and Clarkston, Mich. Beyond this tremendous volume of new content, the artist has teased that he has “something else baking for you on Thursday”; stay tuned to Strings’ social channels for more information.
Beyond the livestreams, Strings will make an appearance on live TV tomorrow with a booking on a Thanksgiving Day special from The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. On Thursday, Nov. 28, alongside guest stars Jerry Seinfeld and Cody Rhodes, the bluegrass torchbearer will make his debut on Fallon’s late-night talk show, delivering a performance of selections from his recently released project Highway Prayers. Tune in to watch the show live at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
After his spot on The Tonight Show, Strings will conclude a packed year of performances with nine more shows. The artist will assume the spotlight at Memphis, Tenn.’s FedExForum on Dec. 6 and 7, then, after one-off shows in Tulsa, Okla. and Fort Worth, Texas on Dec. 10 and 12, he’ll close out 2024 with a pair of dates at Austin, Texas’ Moody Theater and Center on Dec. 13 and 14 and a three-night New Year’s Eve run from Dec. 29-31 at Uno Lakefront Arena in New Orleans.
Strings will return from hibernation to ring in the new year at Denver’s Ball Arena from Jan. 24-26, kicking off his recently announced Winter Tour. From there, he’ll hop over to Asheville, N.C. for a striking six shows at ExploreAsheville.com Arena from Feb. 6-16. Strings will then make his way down the coast with two nights at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on Feb. 21 and 22 before greeting his adoring public in Music City with stands at Nashville, Tenn.’s Bridgestone Arena on Feb. 28 and March 1. The lead-footed road warrior’s run will finally conclude on March 2, when Strings takes the stage across town at Ryman Auditorium, the storied Mother Church of Country.
