Bleak Soul has released a new single, their first with their new label Beth Shalom Records.

The track is called ‘Forever Ago’, a hauntingly beautiful and deeply affecting blend of drama and delirium that kicks off a new chapter for Ben in an extraordinary fashion.

It also features a gorgeous vocal from Delaire The Liar’s Em Lodge.

Ben had this to say about the track:

“I knew the moment I wrote Forever Ago that it needed to be a duet, there was only one person I was ever going to ask and that was Em as our voices work so well together and I’m a huge Delaire [the Liar] fan. This song really encapsulates the rawness and vulnerability of the record – it is a song about change, hindsight and dealing with the loss of things you spent your entire adult life building. The musical shift is my sonic representation of my fear of change and how I feel when I am going through it. My life now is so different that it almost feels like I am a completely different person and this song helped me deal with that feeling. I can’t wait to perform this with Em every night on tour – live we’re just going to jam out the end for as long as we get away with!”

And here it is:

It follows on from ‘Learning To Cope With Nihilism’, which sounds like this:
