Bob Dylan Center to Celebrate 50 Years of ‘Blood on the Tracks’ with Shelter from the Storm Concert, Featuring Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, Adam Granduciel, Sharon Van Etten, Lonnie Holley and More

In 2025, Bob Dylan’s legendary fifteenth studio album Blood on the Tracks will celebrate 50 years of renown. To honor this occasion and the album’s legacy, the Bob Dylan Center (now in its third year) will present Shelter from the Storm, a star-studded ensemble concert where icons of indie rock, folk, country, jazz and more will play through the entirety of the album’s tracklist and a litany of other Dylan favorites. The cast of 22 musicians, featuring icons like Elvis Costello, Robyn Hitchcock and Lucinda Williams, will take the stage at Tulsa, Okla.’s historic Cain’s Ballroom on Jan. 24.

Beyond Williams, Hitchcock and Costello–who serves as the curator of the Bob Dylan Center’s Perspective Jukebox Experience, the revue show will feature performances from high-profile Dylan devotees from the indie world like The War On Drugs’ Adam Granduciel, Real Estate’s Martin Courtney, Kevin Morby and Sharon Van Etten. Joy Harjo, three-term U.S. Poet Laureate and Bob Dylan Center Artist-in-Residence, will add new dimensions to the event’s artistic prestige, as will pathbreaking artist and experimental musician Lonnie Holley and acclaimed jazz pianist and vocalist Diana Krall. The main bill will be rounded out by vaunted singer-songwriters Laura Cantrell, Paul Metsa, Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls and Jason Narducy, who will accompany beloved actor Michael Shannon.

The headline artists will be supported by an a-class backing band, featuring Chatham County Line, Darren Jessee, hitmakers and solo artists Brad Cook and Phil Cook and event co-curator Doug Keith, who will also serve as the musical director. Shelter from the Storm will also include performances from keyboardist Gregg Inhofer, guitarist Kevin Odegard and bassist Billy Peterson, all of whom accompanied Dylan on Blood on the Tracks; Odegard will play the same acoustic guitar he employed in the album sessions. Acclaimed actor Luke Wilson will bring all these creative powerhouses together as the evening’s emcee.

“I’m deeply humbled to perform with such an influential group of artists honoring one of the greatest songwriters of all time,” Van Etten offered with the event announcement. “Dylan’s work still reveals itself to me in ways that continue to grow and inspire.”

“It’s been a dream come true to co-curate this celebration of Blood on the Tracks with the amazing team at the Bob Dylan Center,” Keith shared. “I’m so excited to be part of bringing some of my favorite artists to Tulsa to bring this classic album to life. It’s going to be an unbelievable show!”

Tickets for Shelter from the Storm will be available through a presale for Bob Dylan Center members tomorrow, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. CT. General on-sale will follow on Friday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. CT. For tickets and more information, visit bobdylancenter.com.
