Bridget Lynch Of Stabbing Steps In For Suffocation’s Ricky Myers Due To Illnes

After making a guest appearance onstage with Suffocation during their ongoing tour, Stabbing vocalist Bridget Lynch has stepped in as the band’s vocalist. Suffocation’s frontman Ricky Myers fell ill during the trek, prompting Lynch to take his place at the band’s upcoming shows. Below you can see footage captured by fans showing her performing with the band:

Regarding this unexpected opportunity, Lynch shared her thoughts:

“I’ve been doing guest vocals on ‘Liege Of Inveracity,’ and Terrance and Charlie pulled me aside maybe 15-20 min before their set yesterday to ask me if I could do the set, minus some songs. I was like, ‘Holy shit, are y’all fucking for real right now?’

The place was packed and a lot of people came out for Suffocation, so it would be a bummer if they had to drop—the show must go on—so I said fuck it and did it. It was an honor and a dream come true, but I was also so nervous my legs were shaking. I just went on stage after they introduced me thinking, hey, I’ll do my best! Hopefully I did them proud.”
