Cosmophobe Premieres Full-Album Stream Of New EP “Existential”

Lafayette, Louisiana-based progressive technical deathcore/death metal unit Cosmophobe premieres the full-album stream of the outfit’s new 3-track EP “Existential”, which was released in December 2023 via Bandcamp. The album’s artwork and band logo were created by Mark Cooper.

Explains the band:

“Existential is my 3rd serious EP.

Echoless Chamber is a play on words with “echo chamber”. It refers to situations in life where you’re trying to explain yourself and what you’re going through to the people around you, but they either can’t understand, or don’t want to and don’t care. You’re stuck and no one can hear you.

Despondent is about, as the title suggests, despondency. That feeling where you’ve just completely lost hope to do anything at all.

Bereft of Purpose continues this, being about when you’ve gone beyond the point of having no hope, and don’t even feel you have any meaning in life. What’s the point of trying to have hope anymore then?

Overall this EP sort of tells a story of how you can go from that one point where you’re just trying to be heard, all the way to just giving up on everything.”
