Courtney Barnett Announces New Documentary ‘ANONYMOUS CLUB’
Courtney Barnett has announced she’ll be sharing a new documentary titled ANONYMOUS CLUB. The film is set to cover a three-year period that chronicles the notably shy artist’s ups and downs during the world tour of her 2018 album Tell Me How You Really Feel.
ANONYMOUS CLUB is shot on 16mm film and features Barnett’s unguarded narration from her audio diary, which was recorded on a dictaphone provided by filmmaker Danny Cohen. It is set to deliver forward and never before seen insight into Barnett’s creative process, as well as her internal struggle with fame and the dark yet relatable backdrop that bless her poetic compositions. ANONYMOUS CLUB will be delivered by film distributor Oscilloscope, who are planning for a theatrical release in 2022.
