The Jane Doe plaintiff who made revenge porn accusations against Diplo has officially dropped her lawsuit.

This dismissal just recently came to light in a notice from the unnamed accuser’s counsel, who indicated that the suit was being pulled “in its entirety.”

In the same notice, the plaintiff and her team opted not to disclose the precise reason(s) behind the decision. However, closer to January’s start, the presiding judge had ruled that the alleged victim would have to reveal her identity to proceed with the case.

Before that, the accuser had been pushing to remain anonymous, arguing in more words that divulging her name would open the door to retaliation and privacy violations.

Meanwhile, the defendant DJ publicly refuted the allegations (dating all the way back to 2016) in no uncertain terms. The accuser here also reported Diplo to the NYPD, we noted over the summer, though it’s unclear whether a related investigation is ongoing.

In any event, the development marks another legal victory for 46-year-old Diplo, who earlier this month settled a separate dispute concerning sexual assault allegations.

Referring mainly to a suit levied by an individual named Shelly Auguste (besides stalking counterclaims from Diplo), that dispute played out across several years, delivered multiple twists, and was set to go to trial in January.

Stated differently, Diplo, who acknowledged having “a night of consensual sex” with Auguste but vehemently denied her assault claims, would probably stand to benefit from scrutinizing personal relationships moving forward.

To be sure, the artist previously took to social media to tell his side of the Auguste story, which certainly didn’t do him any favors from a public-perception perspective. In that verbose account, the Major Lazer member addressed a short-lived sexual assault suit filed against him by a different party yet.

Upon abruptly withdrawing the complaint, said party, allegedly a friend of Auguste’s, expressed “regret” for suing. And per Diplo, the voluntary dismissal arrived immediately after he found actual footage (presumably undercutting the sexual assault allegations) of the relevant encounter on his phone.

At the time of this writing, Diplo didn’t appear to have addressed the newer suit’s dismissal on X. But the Torch Capital backer did recently confirm helping raise over $160,000 for the Los Angeles Fire Department, and he’s teed up a few pre-Super Bowl performances in New Orleans.
