Duetti Drops $1.2M on Blacklite District—Indie Artists Rose to YouTube Fame in Minecraft Animated Music Video
Duetti has announced it has signed a $1.2 million deal with independent artists Blacklite District—who rose to fame from their music featuring in animated Minecraft music videos on YouTube.
Blacklite District is known for their unique blend of rock and pop and has garnered a loyal fanbase of listeners. They’ve amassed more than 1 billion streams and $1 million in revenue.
Because their songs rose to prominence after launching a Minecraft animated music video collaborator with YouTuber Rainimator, their music has attracted fans all across the globe. Throughout the Rainimator animated series ‘Fractures,’ Blacklite District has provided music for all songs in Season 1, four songs in Season 2, six songs in season 3, two songs in season 4, and one song in a filler episode.
Their songs are charting all over the world in countries including the Bahamas, Cameroon, Czech Republic, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Norway, Romania, and Russia among others. They scored four Top 40 singles on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart and recently released their latest album You Can Do Better on May 3, 2024. Now the band is poised for even greater success with Duetti on board.
Duetti—a music financing platform—recently announced $114 million in new funding. The company has raised over $235 million in funding over the past two years and has partnered with over 500 artists across different genres and countries, providing them with financial options and marketing services.
“Blacklite District has carved out a truly one-of-a-kind space for themselves, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with them,” says Lior Tibon, CEO of Duetti. “Their sound resonates across diverse audiences and we’re excited to use our catalog marketing services to connect their music with new fans around the world. This isn’t just a partnership—it’s an opportunity to help elevate a dynamic artist who’s constantly pushing boundaries. We look forward to working together.”
“We are beyond excited about this deal with Duetti,” adds Kyle Pfeiffer, singer-songwriter and founder of Blacklite District. “A partnership like this has been a long time coming, and the timing was right to really take this music to the next level. 2025 is a new chapter for Blacklite District, and we can’t wait to show you what we have coming next.”
This deal comes at a pivotal time as the band prepares for the 2025 version of their all-ages Red Carpet Tour, where they showcase music from their latest album, You Can Do Better, alongside fan favorites. The tour promises unforgettable experiences for fans, with VIP packages that include exclusive interactions with the band.
