Telenova has the world at their feet, after signing new recording deals with EMI and Fiction Records, and with International Talent Booking (ITB), the live music booking agency.

Announced this week, the Melbourne trio inks a worldwide deal with EMI Records, and strikes a partnership with Fiction Records, a division of Universal Music Group, for the U.K. and Europe.

And, following their first major Europe tour in 2023, playing headline shows in London, Paris, Athens, Berlin and Hamburg’s Reeperbahn Festival, and more, Telenova signs with Liam Keightley at ITB for European bookings.

To celebrate the new arrangements, Telenova drops a new single, “Teardrop,” a classy, angular electronic pop number.

There’s more to come, notes Mark Holland, managing director, EMI Australia. “We are truly aligned in Telenova’s global vision on the project – phenomenal music, exceptional creative and a well-rounded music industry cohort surrounding with Fiction Records, Calibre and No Quarter Management on board.”

Telenova, explains Holland, was “championed into the fold” by Heather O’Brien, director of A&R, EMI Music Australia.

“We are beyond excited to help nurture and grow them into the successful global group they deserve to be,” comments Jim Chancellor, managing director, Fiction Records and joint managing director, Virgin Label Services International.

Formed in 2020 and led by Angeline Armstrong, Ed Quinn and Josh Moriarty, Telenova took a leap forward with the release of their Stained Glass Love EP.

Spots opened up at Split Milk, Lost Paradise and Falls festivals, and the trio won for breakthrough artist of the year at the 2022 AIR Awards.

A brace of AIR nominations followed in 2023, Armstrong collected the 2023 APRA Professional Development Award (PDAs) for popular music, and Telenova performed at Splendour in the Grass for the first time.

The group will debut a new four-piece format when they hit the road for the Teardrop Tour of Australian capitals this May, their first headline run since their regional tour in winter 2023. European dates follow.
