50 Cent responds to Eminem’s suggestion that the two should release a full-length album, making a collaborative release seem likely.

On Christmas Day (December 25), Eminem appeared as a guest on DJ Whoo Kid’s podcast, Whoo’s House, where he called the idea of a collaborative album with 50 Cent “great.” The Death of Slim Shady rapper added that he and Fifty should “stop bullsh—ing and just do it.” Now, 50 Cent has responded to the suggestion, and the project seems to have legs.

Notably, 50 Cent hasn’t released an album since 2014’s Animal Ambition. But he definitely seems on board with the idea of a joint album with Eminem. “Looks like I’ll be back in the booth after all,” he wrote in response to headlines about Em’s comments. “Just gotta do this residency in Vegas first.”

Fifty’s six-date Las Vegas residency at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino kicked off on Friday, December 27, and runs until January 4. So fans probably won’t have to wait too long until the two jump into the studio, assuming both men are serious about the collaboration.

“I would never say it’s not possible,” Eminem told Whoo during his guest appearance. “I’m trying to get him to make another album so bad,” he said during his previous appearance on Whoo’s House last year. “50’s on a roll right now. He’s been on a roll since the tour and I told him he needs — whatever he needs from me, I’m here. That shit would be crazy though, an album with me and him.”

The two appeared on the track “Gun Smoke” on Missionary, Dr. Dre’s recent joint album with Snoop Dogg. It would make sense for either of them to be inspired by the success of that release and to want to recreate some of it for themselves.

“That’s Dr. Dre’s all-star team,” said Snoop of Fifty and Em. “All three of us love Dr. Dre’s production and we all felt like we needed a record where we all got something together. We loving each other, we appreciating each other, and it just made sense.”
