Falling In Reverse’s Ronnie Radke says tour cancellation will have “giant economic hit” on UK

Falling In Reverse‘s Ronnie Radke has come out to say that his band’s recent tour cancellation will have a “giant economic hit” on the UK.

Earlier this week (December 4), it was reported that the metalcore band had to call off the UK leg of their ‘Popular Monstour 2’ tour due to visa restrictions concerning visitors with a record of 12 months prison time served or more.

Radke served a prison sentence of over a year in relation to a fatal altercation that resulted in the death of an 18-year-old, per Billboard.

The ‘Popular Monstour 2’ shows will be postponed to next year “while we continue to work thru [sic] this issue legally to obtain the necessary visa”, the band added. Refunds have now been made available to ticketholders from point of purchase.

However, Radke has refused to keep silent on the issue – Radke shared a lengthy rant on TikTok decrying the public response to the cancellation.

Radke said: “[You’re] celebrating the kids in my DMs with cancer that were excited to see me now they can’t. That’s what you’re celebrating.”

“You’re celebrating the giant economic hit that’s gonna have on the UK for a little second, like the flights, the hotels, the tickets and all that stuff and all this travel and all this stuff.”

He claimed that the tour sold over 75,000 tickets, which he called “a literal Taylor Swift-sized concert worth of tickets”. He also compared his predicament to one apparently faced by Snoop Dogg, Ja Rule and “a multitude of other artists”. In 2007, Snoop Dogg was denied entry into the UK after being involved in an incident at Heathrow Airport the year before.

Ja Rule, on the other hand, was denied entry to the UK earlier this year due to his past criminal charges.

Radke revealed that the band have now released a new t-shirt with all proceeds going to the UK Prison Reform Trust. Find the t-shirt here.

The tour was also originally set to hit Europe before the UK – the latter half of those dates were cancelled due to “production-related logistical issues”. The band is expected to follow through with their March 2025 dates in Australia.

In August, ‘Popular Monstour 2’ openers Black Veil Brides defended their choice to tour with Radke, who has previously faced allegations of abuse, rape, assault and transphobia, all of which he has consistently denied.

Some of those allegations were addressed in a 2023 video by music critic Anthony Fantano, who was then served with a defamation lawsuit filed by Radke in August this year.
