Gogol Bordello, the iconic incendiary international punk band, are set to kick off a five-show New Year’s Eve residency at Brooklyn Bowl New York & Philadelphia from Dec. 27-31. Known for their legendary celebrations, this year’s lineup promises to be a raucous fusion of punk, rock, and hardcore, featuring an array of special guests handpicked by the band.

Led by the charismatic Ukrainian frontman Eugene Hütz, the band’s 16th annual New Year’s Eve celebrations mark an extension of his new imprint, Casa Gogol Records, reflecting a deep commitment to the vibrant and ever-evolving New York music scene. The lineup boasts a mix of New York legends and rising stars, capturing the essence of the city’s diverse musical landscape.

The residency will showcase a powerhouse lineup of performers, including Jon Spencer, Puzzled Panther, cumgirl8, Crazy & The Brains, Incendiary Device, Values Here, Grace Bergere and Mary Shelley. On the pinnacle of the New Year’s Eve celebration, punk girl duo Puzzled Panther, accompanied by Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Brian Chase and Hütz, will take center stage at Brooklyn Bowl. The performance will mark the debut of their new single, “Smoke and the Mirrors We Broke,” produced by post-punk legend Nick Launay (Nick Cave, Amyl and the Sniffers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Idles). The duo’s debut EP is set for release on Casa Gogol Records in early 2024, also produced by Launay.

Reflecting on the eclectic lineup, Hütz shared, “Youth culture is always producing new brilliant music, and you just pray that you are there when it happens. As different as Puzzled Panther and Grace Bergere are, they have the right kind of newness and right kind of oldness about them. They arrived into this world as poets with a singular vision and superb knack for melodism. To me, they are the new New York, which has a lot more in common with that magical old New York we know, and none of that bullshit in the middle.”
