Goose Announce First Headlining Show at Madison Square Garden
January 13, 2025
Goose has confirmed an evening at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday, June 28, 2025. The show is being presented by Dayglo Presents and The Bowery Presents. This date represents the ensemble’s first headlining stand at the Big Apple venue after performing on the vaunted stage in November as part of the Soulshine Benefit concert for hurricane relief and recovery efforts.
Before verifying the scope of the event, Goose teased a video via social media. The teaser trailer begins with a scenic look at the lush jungle canopy before cutting to the five-member nudist lineup of Rick Mitarotonda (vocals, guitar), Peter Anspach (vocals, keys, guitar), Trevor Weekz (bass), Jeff Arevalo (vocals, percussion, drums), and the newest addition, Cotter Ellis (vocals, drums).
The musicians exchange pleasantries about the tropical forest location, “Pretty nice,” flanked by smash-cut frogs, sloths, tigers, parrots and monkeys. The hush of nature is diminished by Jeff Arevalo, who takes a bite of an apple, evoking, “What’s that thing? Are you just going to eat that thing,” from Mitarotonda.
The video picks up where the band’s tour leaves off before the lauded New York occasion: in Mexico for their inaugural international concert vacation, Viva El Gonzo in San José del Cabo, Mexico, on May 8-10, 2025.
Following the band’s visit South of the border, they will return to the U.S., where they will take part in newly added dates at Fiddler’s Green in Greenwood Village on June 6 and 7, 2025, a week out from their highly anticipated Friday, June 13 stand at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, and follow up at All Good Now, in Columbia, Md.
Goose’s first-time international gathering and confirmation of their Madison Square Garden debut is a testament to the band’s rapid ascent and fan admiration due in part to their willingness to extemporize originals and choice covers in an elaborate live setting.
$1 from every ticket sold will benefit MusiCares, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides essential support to music professionals in need. MusiCares is actively assisting those in the Los Angeles area and the greater music community who have been impacted by the ongoing wildfires.
A Relix ticket pre-sale will run from Thursday, Jan. 16, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time, using code RELIX. The general sale will follow on Friday, Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. local time.
