DJs do more than just mix music. While music mixing is indeed a significant part of their job, they also curate playlists, ensure a smooth transition between tracks, engage with the audience through announcements and requests, manage equipment, and sometimes even create their own music or remixes. Depending on the type of DJing, they may also be responsible for visual effects and lighting.
