High-quality files are usually preferred for DJing. Look for a minimum of 256 kilobits per second (Kbps) when downloading or choosing a track. The higher the bit rate, the better the quality of the sound. Some platforms and music services may only provide 128 Kbps files, which is still acceptable, but the preferred standard for DJs is 256 Kbps or higher.
