The father of rock and roll is considered to be American singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Chuck Berry. He was influential in shaping the development of rock music in the mid-1950s, with his simple and catchy songs becoming popular with both white and black audiences, and being covered by many other artists. Some of his greatest hits include “Johnny B. Goode”, “Sweet Little Angel”, “Maybellene”, and “Roll Over Beethoven”.
